NFT Community, What is and How to?
Do you know NFT? It has become a #1 searchable come late. Google searches for NFTs spike to record highs. Search queries for “NFT” and “non-fungible token” have become even more popular than searches for “Dogecoin,” “blockchain” and even “Ethereum.” Google’s keyword search data shows that nonfungible tokens (NFTs) have surged to record levels, with traffic beating out search terms pertinent to many crypto assets ranked among the top ten. According to Google Trends, interest in NFTs saw a dramatic spike at the start of the year 2021 as Dapper Labs’ NBA Top Shot and vintage Ethereum-based NFTs saw frenzied speculation.
While the bubble initially appeared short-lived — with search volume drying up by roughly 75% as of the end of mid-year 2021, interest began to bounce back in July before breaking into new highs at the end of October 2021.
Then it brought us to another new term, an NFT Community. What is an NFT Community? A Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT) community is a group of people who are actively collecting, buying, selling, and conversing about an NFT project. A “Creator” is one who mints their artwork or project into an NFT. A “Collector” is the one who buys and holds the NFT to participate in the community.
WHY A NFT COMMUNITY, WHAT DOES IT DO?
The majority of the crypto projects that are now well known never had a marketing budget. But what they have is a solid and devoted community that believes in their purpose, and backed them. Burning millions of dollars of cash on marketing campaigns is now deemed ineffective; people turned to other ways of marketing. Storytelling and getting people through engagements are new ways to grab a target audience.
NFT Community? An NFT community is a place where people come together to support a specific NFT project. The NFT community usually informs the progress of the project, predicts market inflation and targets, and helps each other. How and why build an NFT community can always lead to tremendous success in branding products and other related successes.
HOW-TO BUILD YOUR OWN NFT COMMUNITY?
It’s important to build your NFT community during the initial phase of your project because a solid community lays the blueprint and groundwork for a successful NFT project. Creators flocking together to learn from one another; also to mutually engage is the basis of a community.
As the digital marketplace evolves, so does the technology and how brands and businesses use it to strengthen their communities. NFT has become hype as many people talk about it and many NFT artists successfully create and sell their work. In addition to the many talented NFT artists or creators, having their own space to showcase their work is a major plus, and this is where the NFT community gets involved. This is one of many possibilities that can only be reached through the NFT community.
Many private brands and businesses are now uniting to figure out how to use NFTs to build their own communities. Creating an NFT community is like creating a brand. There are several considerations to overtake before deciding to create. So building a community requires a huge amount of work, continuity, and persistence. A strong NFT community has proven to be a bridge to successful marketing efforts for your brand. Here are the general steps to follow to create an NFT community.
- Know your target market
Before you start creating your own NFT community, you must decide who your intended audience is. Choose a theme for your NFT community and what kind of NFT you want to create. For example sports-related NFTs or music NFTs. To determine your audience, you need to know it first so that you know the direction and who you want to be part of your community. Once you’ve decided on this, you can start creating content for a variety of platforms that cater to people with similar interests.
2. Be transparent about your progress
Sharing your creative progress is meant to engage your target audience with your community. Share everything with the world, from clips of your creative process to discussions about what you are doing occurring in your niche. Those who are interested will appear and those who are not will not. This is the simplest removal method available. Showing your progress as well as your vision through your community will attract people with the same interest.
3. Use the platform for your community
After successfully forming your group, you need to decide which platform you want to continue to collect with your community and you should decide on a platform to engage with the community regularly. For example, you can leverage some content to see where your potential community is. Start making TikTok videos when you discover that other people who share your interests are on TikTok. Remember that the only way to know for sure if something works is to try it and stick with it. You can change the platform or the type of content you create at any time, but you should test it first.
4. Provide value to your community
You have to create value for the community, and this will lead the community in the right direction. It should be clear what you are doing and what products, services, and projects you will be involved in and create. This will take some time, but once you formulate the right moves, you’ll know for sure where your community goals are. These values will also engage all members with trust and vision. The more valuable a brand is perceived in the NFT space, the more value it can extract from the community.
5. Consistent with what you doing
As you grow a particular community, you must continue to add value to that community. To keep the NFT community growing, it must always provide value, and be fully transparent, persistent, and creative. The main goal should always be to add as much value to the community as possible. If this continues, you have succeeded in creating a community dedicated to you, your NFT brand/business, and the products and services you provide.
One of the concrete examples is consistently maintaining your community activities like collaborating with NFT artists or making an NFT event. Just like what CINDRUM did by maintaining their NFT community within several activities on different platforms like Discord, Instagram, and Twitter. This move would be appropriate to strengthen the engagement among community members.
